Chet McLendon About Us

Mr. Chet McLendon was born in
 Opelousas, Louisiana on August
 17,  1970. Opelousas has a spiritual
 culture steep with good food,
blues, jazz, and zydeco music. As
 an underprivileged African
American child in the “deep south”,
Mr. McLendon had big ambitions of
making it out of poverty by playing
sports. When those dreams did not
 materialize, Mr. McLendon quickly
realized that his athletic ability wasn’t enough to get him out of poverty.
With a strong family legacy of military service, Mr. McLendon believed that his best option was to join the military. With his mother’s strong encouragement to make something of himself, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Through divine intervention, discipline, and the structure of the military, Mr. McLendon’s uncertain future was positively changed. Mr. McLendon honorably and proudly served 8.5 years in the United States Air Force’s as a surgical assistant. Mr. McLendon served his first six years in the United Kingdom at the Royal Air Force Base Lakenheath. He concluded the remaining time of his military service at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.

Mr. McLendon completed his undergraduate degree with honors and spent the next 12 years pursuing a highly successful career in sales and management with several medical device companies. Never satisfied, Mr. McLendon had a burning desire to own and operate his own business. On June 1, 2007 Mr. McLendon’s wife Leah McLendon gave birth to their first child Pierce Alexander McLendon. Mr. McLendon finally received the motivation to start his own business. As the president and founder of Pierce First Medical and LC Mac Enterprises, Chet McLendon intends to write a new chapter in his life as a SDVOSB and Minority Owned Small Business.
