Mr. Chet McLendon was born in
17, 1970. Opelousas has a spiritual
culture steep with good food,
blues, jazz, and zydeco music. As
an underprivileged African
American child in the “deep south”,
Mr. McLendon had big ambitions of
making it out of poverty by playing
sports. When those dreams did not
materialize, Mr. McLendon quickly
realized that his athletic ability wasn’t enough to get him out of poverty. With a strong family legacy of military service, Mr. McLendon believed that his best option was to join the military. With his mother’s strong encouragement to make something of himself, he enlisted in the
Mr. McLendon completed his undergraduate degree with honors and spent the next 12 years pursuing a highly successful career in sales and management with several medical device companies. Never satisfied, Mr. McLendon had a burning desire to own and operate his own business. On June 1, 2007 Mr. McLendon’s wife Leah McLendon gave birth to their first child Pierce Alexander McLendon. Mr. McLendon finally received the motivation to start his own business. As the president and founder of Pierce First Medical and LC Mac Enterprises, Chet McLendon intends to write a new chapter in his life as a SDVOSB and Minority Owned Small Business.
